New Home for Windsor Contemporary Art Fair

Posted: 30/05/2007 11:07:43

Acknowledged as one of the key arts events in Berkshire and the Thames Valley, the Windsor Contemporary Art Fair is to be staged at a new venue.

The art fair, to be held at Windsor Racecourse in the Riverside Pavilion, will take place over three days from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 November.

As a magnet for new and established artists and galleries, the art fair brings together an inspirational melange of sculptors, photographers, artists and ceramicists under one roof. The event provides an excellent opportunity to view and buy contemporary art at an affordable price.

The Windsor Contemporary Art Fair is now in its third year and organisers Deborah James and Sarah McAllister confirmed: "The increased demand for exhibition space has made this new venue ideal. There are 48 display stands this year and we are well on our way to filling the exhibition with a fantastic range of exciting art."

Participating Windsor Contemporary Art Fair artists come from across the region and around the UK. The fair is a celebration of the works of experienced artists and exciting new up and coming talent. Last year there were over 2,000 visitors to the fair and with more exhibitors and free parking at this new venue, the expectation is for even higher visitor numbers.

The fair is again supporting the Prince's Trust and over the three days there will be a programme of workshops and interactive arts activities.
