Fatal collision - Swallowfield

A man has died after he was involved in a road traffic collision overnight.

The collision happened when an articulated lorry struck a stationary Ford Mondeo car on the A33 Swallowfield bypass at approximately 11.20pm last night (1/9).

The southbound carriageway was closed until 4am while emergency services and the Highways Agency were at the collision.

A 46-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police officers are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or any of the vehicles prior to the collision to contact them.
