Change of use to holiday units approved
Posted: 13/03/2008 10:14:26
Plans to change the use of former traditional farm buildings into self-contained holiday units at Little Quebb Farm, Eardisley, were approved by members of the northern area sub-committee at their meeting on Wednesday, March 12th.
The application also proposed the installation of solar panels to the south-west roof elevation.
Herefordshire Council’s Transportation recommended refusal because of the poor visibility at the junction with the A4111 road as well as concerns about the standard of the unclassified public highway leading to the application site from the A4111 public highway.
Herefordshire Council’s conservation manager was concerned at the impact of the solar panels on the setting of the grade II listed farmhouse and barn.
In a report to members, the planning officer said: “The proposed solar panels, although in principle an environmentally welcome proposal, will have a detrimental impact on the overall immediate setting of the grade II listed building range.”
