New CSO for Craven Arms

A former police officer with the Metropolitan Police has been appointed Community Support Officer for Craven Arms.

Julia St. John-Martin has spent the past few weeks training for the role and takes up her new post tomorrow (Wednesday, April 22nd).

A mother of two grown children, Julia has lived in Shropshire for the past 20 years working in West Mercia’s call management centre in Shrewsbury for the last 11 years.

With a wealth of policing experience, she is now looking forward to taking on a new challenge as CSO in the South Shropshire town and surrounding area.

Before moving to Shropshire, Julia spent eight years as an officer in the Metropolitan Police.

She said: “I really enjoy working with people and this role will give me the opportunity to again make a difference in the local community. I am looking forward to the various challenges in partnership working.”

Julia will be based at Craven Arms police station working with PC Lynne Edwards in the Local Policing team.
