Prince Charles gives up Polo

Clarence House has announced that Prince Charles has decided to give up playing polo at the age of 57 after 40 years in the saddle. They said that The Prince of Wales will not be playing polo next season. He made the decision recently to retire from the game after playing for over 40 years. Prince Charles, who lives at Highgrove near Tetbury, once ranked in the top ten players in the country (in handicap terms) and played competitively all over the world up until 1992. Since then he has played only in charity matches. It is estimated that he has raised more than £12 million for charity through his polo playing
