Public transport and the private motorcar exhibiti
Posted: 01/04/2007 15:13:44
What would life be like without cars?
An exhibition that explores the relationship between public transport and the motorcar is to go on show at the council's Oxfordshire Record Office, at St Luke's Church, Temple Road, Cowley.
Called Lifes Highway, the exhibition by the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust includes a replica petrol pump showing two short films, as well as images that show how owning and using vehicles has changed over the years.
The free exhibition will run from 4 April until the end of June. Opening hours 9am to 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday. Refreshments available. Tel 01865 398200.
