Collision - A44 - Oxfordshire
Posted: 31/05/2007 16:39:46
Two drivers were taken to hospital after a collision on the A44 between Woodstock and Enstone.
The collision happened at 3.50pm yesterday (30/5) when a red Rover 25 collided with a black Volkswagen Touran.
Both drivers were cut from their vehicles by the Fire Service and were taken to the John Radcliffe 2 Hospital with serious injuries.
One was air-lifted to hospital in an air ambulance while another was taken to hospital by road.
A passenger in the Touran was also injured although her injuries are minor.
PC Roger Marshall, of Bicester Roads Policing, said: “This was a serious collision and the road was closed for a short while as our collision investigators examined the scene and the wreckage was cleared.
"I would appeal for anyone who saw the collision or saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision to come forward and contact me."
"They have information that may well assist us in working out why this collision occurred."
Anyone with information should contact PC Roger Marshall, of Bicester Roads Policing, on 0845 8 505 505 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
