Council leading the way for local businesses
Posted: 20/05/2006 13:50:35
A Business Support Fair is being held in Chipping Norton Town Hall from 5pm on June 6th to showcase the vast amount of help available, both locally and nationally, to small businesses in the area. Attendees will benefit from free business advice on a whole range of issues.
Cllr Tony Walker, Cabinet Member for Economic Development ran his own business for many years and is very aware that good advice can mean real money to a business. He says: “The Council is really committed to supporting local business. This event is an excellent opportunity for the many businesses in the District that may not have the internal resources of larger organisations to gain expert professional advice. Innovative ideas on display will be of interest to all companies, large and small as well as those people thinking about starting a business in the future.”
William Barton, Business Development Officer at the Council says: “While businesses are generally doing very well in the area, there is a wealth of advice, information and in some cases funding available to help them stay at the top of their game. The bulk of this is free. The Business Support Fair is an ideal opportunity for people to come along and meet the exhibitors and see what is useful and relevant to them. Whether it is help on general business planning, looking for finance, making better use of broadband and IT technologies, cutting energy bills, preparing to export products or doing business overseas, there will be an expert on hand to help.”
The Business Support Fair in Chipping Norton runs from 5pm – 8pm on Tuesday 6th June 2006
