Assault – Abingdon

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Parks Road, Abingdon on Saturday night (13/1).

At around 11.15pm, a group of Polish students were approached by a group of men who became racially abusive. A female student received a graze to her face and neck and a male student received four stitches to an injury to his eye.

PC Claire Argent said: “We received an anonymous call about the attacks and are appealing for this person to come forward to help with our inquiries.

“If you saw the incident then please come forward to help establish what happened.”

• Six men have been arrested on suspicion of assault and public order offences and have been released on police bail.
